Fragile Fragmente
"Fragile Fragments - Photography in Berlin between figurative and abstract 1988-2003" was an exhibition my colleagues Seung Lee, Teresa Reichert and I organised in the Berlin Parliament house under the coordination of Prof. Christiane Post from the Institute for Art in Context at UdK Berlin. The research work and the resulting exhibition were commissioned by the Artothek Berlin, a social institution founded in 1988 to support artistic production in Berlin. Over the years this institution grew to be one of the biggest collections of works of all the artists who lived and worked in Berlin between 1988 and 2003. The collection has been scarcely catalogued and researched and the photography section of some 500+ pieces was only catalogued.
