Bauernmalerei

Ever since my academy years I had a sweet art tooth for naif and folk art and this year, after moving part of my studio from big city to the land, I found the needed peace and inspiration to work on developing my own style. Inspired by the long German tradition of the so called "Bauernmalerei" ( lit. peasant´s paintings) I use wooden plates, cutting board, chairs and similar as my painting surface. I try to find objects that are broken and not in use anymore so I can restore them and give them new life trough my art.
