Wandschmuck exhibition

A research and exhibition project my colleagues Dominik Dittberner, Wang Xue, Gong Li, Prof.Michael Ferr and I realized in 2014 commissioned by the Museum of Things in Berlin ( Museum der Dinge). A huge and by then unresearched collection of popular art was object of our categorization and research. The term "Wandschmuck" is used in Germany to depict popular wall art from the turn of the 20th century following a boom and democratization of printing techniques in all the Europe. As part of the research we were all asked to reflect the use of Decorational Arts in our own cultures and as a result we created models of typical Bosnian, Chinese, GDR and Turkish living and working spaces.
